Redmond School District Announces Superintendent Charan Cline’s Retirement
Redmond, OR. - Redmond School District Superintendent Charan Cline will retire in June 2027, concluding 32 years in education, including the past seven years serving as superintendent of Redmond School District. During his tenure with the district, Cline has led the district through a period of significant growth and change while focusing on student success.
“Serving the students, staff and community of Redmond has been one of the highest honors of my life, and I’m deeply grateful for the trust and support I’ve received along the way,” Cline said. “There is still a lot of important work to be done over the course of this school year, and I’m looking forward to continuing that work alongside our staff and community to support the success of our students and our district.”
Redmond School District Board Chair Liz Goodrich said the Board understands the importance of selecting the district’s next superintendent and is committed to keeping the community informed throughout the process.
“Choosing a new superintendent is the most important decision a school board makes,” Goodrich said. “It’s personal. We deeply care about the Redmond School District and the Redmond community. We are committed to finding the right person to serve as the next leader for our students, families, staff and community.”
The Board has begun the search for the district’s next superintendent, who will begin serving July 1, 2027. The Board has selected Human Capital Enterprises to assist with the search process.
A dedicated Superintendent Search page on the Redmond School District website will provide the latest updates, search timeline and frequently asked questions throughout the process.
Community members with questions about the superintendent search may contact the district at info@redmondschools.org.
