The Fiscal Services team is responsible for the following: Financial Reporting, Budgeting, Grant Accounting, Purchasing Compliance, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll Processing.

Annual Comprehensive Financial Reports
The Fiscal Services Department prepares the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), which undergoes an annual financial statement audit. The annual audit is conducted by an independent municipal audit firm in accordance with the Oregon Municipal Audit Law.
Redmond School District’s audited ACFR is submitted to the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for review under the GFOA’s “Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting” program. The Redmond School District’s ACFR has been awarded this honor each year since 1989.
In addition to the Basic Financial Statements, the ACFR presents the Independent Auditor’s Report, Management’s Discussion and Analysis, the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards, and a robust Statistical Section related to various facets of the Redmond School District.

The Fiscal Services Department prepares monthly financial reports that are presented to the Board of Directors in the consent agenda during monthly Board meetings. The reports are reviewed in detail by the Finance Committee during the Committee’s monthly meeting. The committee is an advisory committee assembled by the Superintendent and the Director of Fiscal Services, made up of District staff as well as Board and Community members.
