Excellent progress, Redmond families! Our 2025 Capital Bond Program continues advancing across multiple fronts as we prepare for a robust summer 2026 construction season. Here's what's happening this month:

Summer 2025 Projects Complete

Athletic Fields & Tracks — Final finishes are complete! All punch list items have been closed out at both high schools. Students and athletes are enjoying the new turf fields and resurfaced tracks that were in use since September.

Ridgeview High School Cooling — 95% complete and operational! All piping and heat exchangers have been installed, systems have been started, and commissioning and testing are underway in December. Note: Full chiller testing will occur in spring 2026 when boilers are shut down for the season.

Design Projects Moving to Next Phase

Redmond High School Modernization — Design Development is complete! The design team held extensive user group meetings with theatre, athletics, agriculture, arts, students, and other stakeholders to finalize the design and verify that each program's space reflects its functional, electrical, data, and instructional needs. Construction Documents phase begins with early trade partner engagement to establish accurate construction schedules.

Tumalo Community School Expansion — Construction Documents phase is 40% complete and on schedule! The team is producing detailed drawings and specifications for the new classrooms and expanded cafeteria. Early procurement is underway for major electrical components to mitigate long lead times and reduce schedule risk.

Obsidian Middle School Modernization — Design Development is complete! The team is progressing through Construction Documents with focused coordination on the generator replacement and MEP systems. Review meetings will be held in December with the District.

New Construction Projects Launching

Hugh Hartman Elementary Roofing — Construction Documents are 80% complete. A complete design package is anticipated soon, with advertising expected in the new year.

Ridgeview High School Tennis Courts — Construction Documents are 20% complete. The bidding schedule has been updated in preparation for bid and award in early 2026, with construction beginning May 2026.

Sage Elementary Cooling Retrofit — Design Development is 75% complete. Seven construction manager firms attended the pre-proposal meeting, showing strong competitive interest in the project.

Terrebonne Community School Cooling Retrofit — Construction Documents are 50% complete. The design team received strong District feedback and seven construction managers are interested in the project.

Supporting Local Business

We continue to support our community with 49.3% of bond contracts awarded to local Central Oregon vendors and contractors, totaling $7.4 million of the $15 million awarded.

Looking Ahead

November marked a pivotal transition month—summer 2025 projects are closing out while summer 2026 projects are ramping up. Early trade partner engagement and construction manager selection are underway, positioning us for a smooth and efficient construction season ahead.
