September 2025 Capital Bond Program Update
Fantastic milestone month, Redmond families! Our 2024 Capital Bond Program celebrated major achievements this September while gearing up for an ambitious 2026 project year. Here's what's happening:
Summer Projects Wrapping Up
Athletic Fields & Tracks — Now 95% complete! Both Redmond High School and Ridgeview High School held their first football games on the new turf fields in September. Tracks have been fully striped at all four schools. Staff participated in owner training sessions for proper field maintenance. Final punch list items are underway with completion expected in October.
Vern Patrick Elementary Roofing — Complete! The new roof is finished and the school is fully operational with its durable, weather-resistant upgrade in place.
Ridgeview High School Cooling — 85% complete! Chilled water piping has been installed in the boiler room and mini-split systems have been tested. The system is on track to be operational by the end of October.
Design Projects Moving Forward
Redmond High School Modernization — Design Development is 35% complete. The team is deep into estimate reconciliation and value engineering to keep the project within budget while meeting the original bond promise. Focus areas include CTE spaces, athletics, and performing arts improvements.
Tumalo Community School Expansion — Design Development is 50% complete! Administrative staff met with architects to refine plans for the new offices and science classroom. The IT department also collaborated to ensure technology infrastructure meets district needs. Three new classrooms for middle grades plus a dedicated science room continue to take shape.
Obsidian Middle School Modernization — Schematic design is complete! The project will refresh interior spaces, upgrade lighting, and remodel restrooms. Design Development begins in October.
New Projects Starting
Three new cooling retrofit projects are launching to improve comfort across the district:
- Sage Elementary Cooling Retrofit — 75% through schematic design phase
