Hello Families,

If you wish to request a school transfer within the Redmond School District for the 2026/27 school year, the deadline is May 31st. Requests to transfer schools will be considered on a space-available basis and subject to criteria lined out in JECBB-AR.

Requests for a student to attend a district school other than the student’s assigned boundary school must be made by the parent or legal guardian, emancipated minor, or student age 18 or older, and submitted in writing on forms provided by the district (English / Spanish). Forms must be submitted to the principal or designee of the school which the student currently attends by May 31, 2026, coinciding with transfer deadlines. Written requests must include a clear statement as to how the requested transfer meets district criteria.

Transfer requests will be reviewed in June and families will be contacted afterwards regarding the status of their request. 

Secondary Students: If a student already has an approved transfer for grades 6-8 or 9-12, they do not need to submit a new transfer request. However, if an 8th grader wants to attend a non-boundary high school, they will need to submit a new request.
